BA in Social Sciences

Academic Requirements:

To be eligible for entry to Social Sciences undergraduate degrees:

? You need a recognised high school qualification equivalent to UK A Levels (e.g., HSC + foundation, or other recognised qualifications).

? Direct entry may be possible with A Levels or equivalent — Sheffield assesses international qualifications individually.

? Applicants who do not meet direct entry academic entry can study an International Foundation Year (e.g., International Foundation Year in Business, Social Sciences and Humanities) and then progress to the full BA degree upon successful completion.

Note for Bangladeshi students:

If you have completed HSC but lack an accepted equivalent UK qualification, you may need the Foundation Year before starting the BA.

English Language Proficiency:

IELTS Academic   6.0 overall, normally with 5.5+ in each component for undergraduate entry.

TOEFL iBT             Around 80 overall

PTE Academic      ~56+

Additional Document: Academic Documents, Passport (valid for at least 6 months), Updated CV/Resume, Statement of Purpose (SOP)/ Motivational Letter, English Language Proficiency (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, etc),Bank Statement (28 days requirement), Reference Letter, Passport-size Photographs, Job Experience (if any), Marriage Certificate.

International Tuition Fees(Bangladeshi Student): Around £23,810 per year
