Course Overview
The MArch RIBA Part 2 at the University of Brighton is a professional, studio‑led Masters degree that builds on undergraduate architectural study and prepares you for advanced design practice and eventual professional qualification as an architect. The course is validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and leads to RIBA Part 2 exemption, a required stage toward becoming a registered architect in the UK (after Part 3). It combines creative design studios, research‑led work, technical understanding and professional context to deepen design thinking and architectural knowledge.
You’ll engage in individual and collective design projects, explore environmental, sustainable and social aspects of architecture, work in expert‑led studio environments, and often collaborate with practitioners and visiting critics.
